After relegation the previous season, new manager Graham Baker led a young, enthusiastic Woking side
to a Blue Square South 2009/10 playoff final before losing out this time around. After a good start to the season, the team looked like they would finish
midtable after a poor run in which they didn't win for eight matches but a near miraculous six wins in six saw them take 5th position on a dramatic
last day of the season. Although they overcame Dover Athletic in the playoff semi-finals, winning 2-1 at Kingfield and drawing 0-0 at Crabble, Bath City got
the better of them at Twerton Park although it was still a season to remember. |
