After a number of impressive performances, Bozanic had his loan extended till the end of the season but returned to Reading at the end of the 2008/09 season.
Oliver Bozanic joined the Cards on the 23rd January 2009 on a month’s loan. After fellow Reading teammate Daniel Spence departed Kingfield after a three month loan spell, Phil Gilchrist brought in the tricky Australian to take his place. Oliver can play left or central midfield and has a sweet left foot and a will to get forward. Born in Sydney, Bozanic is part of the Australian 2009 FIFA Under 20s World Cup development squad and competed in a four-team tournament in Japan in 2006 and has helped them qualify for the World Cup in 2008.
He started his career with Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners before joining Reading in January 2007. He has played for the U18s and the Reserve side at his current club and was a major part of the Reserve team which won the Reserve League in 2006/07. He made his Woking debut against Ebbsfleet United in which he hit the bar from a free kick and helped them to a 1-0 win, winning the MOTM award for his performance.
