Prediction League
Rules, Scoring System and How to Enter
Like last season Cardsboard poster Varberg is to be running Cardsweb Prediction League for the 2007/08 season
so thanks to him for his time and effort for this (and his ability to be able to provide regular updates which
are correct unlike mine).
Points are awarded for each match using the following scoring system:
- Correct Result i.e. Woking win, lose, draw - 5 points
- Correct Score for Woking - 3 points
- Correct Score for Opposition - 2 points
- For Every Correct Goalscorer - 1 point
This will be for games in the Blue Square Premier, FA Cup, FA Trophy and Setanta Shield but NOT the Surrey Senior Cup.
Predictions should be in an hour before the game kicks off, so for 3pm kick offs predictions
should be in by 2pm for example to qualify. To make things a little more interesting and to keep the interest going for late
starters, there will be a first half and a second half of the season (the divide will be at the end of the year) and there
will always be a points per game average (you must have predicted at least 50% of the games to qualify for this) table.
You can enter by posting your prediction on cardsboard under an
authenticated username although please make it clear that it is regarding a prediction e.g. having the title as "Prediction". You can also e-mail your predictions to john.butler@telia.com.
If you have any other questions please mick@cardsweb.co.uk or john.butler@telia.com.
Good luck!
